Kurtpashova tower

Kurtpashova tower

How to get there: located next to the Regional History Museum

With its original silhouette, despite its small size, it creates the impression of a medieval castle. It is one of several similar ones that existed during Turkish times. It is a three-story fortified residence of a local feudal lord. It dates from the 17th century, but its elements and the way of construction point to continuity from the fortress construction of the Bulgarian Middle Ages - the 16th century.

A souvenir and exhibition center is located in the tower. It is open for visiting.
