Ethnographic complex and the revival church "St. Sophronius Bishop of Vrachan"

How to get there: address: Vratsa, 3 David Todorov Str.

The Ethnographic-Revival Complex "St. Sophronius Vrachanski" is an architectural-ethnographic museum exposition, created between 1972 and 1987. It includes three Renaissance houses and the "Ascension" school, located next to the Orthodox temple-monument "St. Sophronius Bishop of Vrachanski". The ethnographic complex presents the traditional way of life, crafts and culture of the population of the Vratsa region from the end of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century. The church (the oldest in the city) houses a valuable collection of icons, some of which were painted by Zahari Zograf, Dimitar Zograf and masters from the Debar school.

In one of the revival houses there is the only exposition "The World of the Child" in the country. Samples of Mito Orozov's first carriage factory in Bulgaria are exhibited in the courtyard of the complex.
